Carbonless copy paper is mostly used on documents. Regular documents with legal effects such as existing invoices, contracts, treaties, etc. have all been used on carbonless copy paper. Traditional documents are just plain paper, so you must add a copy layer below the document. Carbonless copy paper is bound with special paper.

In the case of a triple carbonless copy paper receipt, it can be divided into upper paper, medium paper, and lower paper. The paper is also called back coated paper (codenamed CB, Coated Back), the back of the paper is coated with microcapsules containing force sensitive pigment oil; the medium paper is also called positive and negative double coated paper (codename CFB, ie Coated Front and Back), The front side of the paper is coated with a color developing agent, and the back side is coated with a microcapsule containing a force-sensitive coloring oil; the lower paper is also called a surface coated paper (code CF, Coated Front), and the paper surface is only coated with a color developing agent. The self-developing paper (coded SC, Self-Contained) is a microcapsule layer coated with a force-sensitive coloring oil on the back side of the paper, and a color developing agent and a microcapsule containing a force-sensitive coloring oil on the front side.

The upper paper and the lower paper do not have the effect of rewriting, and only the medium paper has the effect of rewriting. When using documents printed on carbonless paper, a small piece of cardboard is usually placed on the joint sheet to avoid excessive writing force and the other joints underneath the cushion are overwritten.

Carbon-free paper is roughly divided into four colors; four colors, white/red/blue/green, play a role in distinguishing the single sheets.
